Today’s youth will be the next generation of leaders in their communities and nations. Youth growing up in highly impoverished and dangerous communities face a myriad of challenges including lack of prospective employment, lack of access to continued education and few productive activities. HRI youth programs combat this tragic reality and demonstrate there are attainable alternatives for youth.

Design students in Guatemala partnered with HRI Guatemala to help design HRI's Emotional Intelligence Board Games and materials based on activities in HRI's Youth Engagement Manual.

The Circle Process enables youth to more easily share their feelings. The idea of these games is to help teenagers realize how they react when they experience a particular emotion, which could lead to why they react the way they do, and what they can do to react in a more constructive way, thus better managing their emotions.
