We believe that addressing the cyclical nature of hunger and barriers to dependable nutrition for babies, children and families is fundamental to community well-being and potential.
All of our programs support our goal of ending chronic hunger and resolving nutritional shortages for the long term. Our nutrition specific interventions involve a multi-phased approach that starts with immediate provision of food and nutritional training and gradually moves towards increased home and local food production.
Nutrition programs involve every level of the community – leadership, teachers, parents, and children as well as our own staff, external experts and church partners. On a daily basis, households, communities, orphanages, and schools take responsibility for maintaining and executing nutrition programs. Integral to every single nutrition program is the unwavering commitment of mothers and caregivers who are devoted to creating a better future for their children and families.
