Thanks to our generous donors, HRI will soon be launching several new initiatives in Haiti and Guatemala. These include: a sustainable stove project in Guatemala designed to alleviate the prevalence of chronic respiratory illnesses and simultaneously to save the forests, a Life Skills program for teens living in orphanages in Haiti, a 4 Her project for adolescent girls and women in Guatemala, a mobile pharmacy project in Guatemala designed to create new income for women and make vital medicines available in remote rural villages, and a pre-school nutritional support program targeting malnourished youngsters between 0 and 5 years of age in the “dry corridor” of Guatemala.
These exciting life saving and transformative programs will bring new depth to the work of HRI in the field.
