Last month a solar powered generator was donated to the orphanage to ensure ongoing access to electricity.
Here’s an e-mail we just received with an update on the status of the generator:
“My partners are in Haiti and they went to the orphanage and along with the engineer Wisnel, they rewired the solar unit and installed a new junction box for more efficient and reliable power. They put all new wiring for the roof to the box, so the facility should have consistent lighting. We are GEI, International. Gary Philoxy, Evens St. Preux, and Ivan Hyppolite are the principles and Wisnel is our engineer and partner in Haiti. We are thrilled to be able to provide this donation to Fondation Yolande Thervil Orphanage. –Ivan Hyppolite”
